The IMBeR International Project Office – China (IPO-China) is part of ECNU, hosted by East China Normal University (ECNU) and the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research (SKLEC). By supporting IMBeR through a project office, ECNU and SKLEC aim to deliver their IMBeR science and societal values to the IMBeR community and beyond by creating partnership synergy in open and mutually beneficial ways. IPO-China also collaborates closely with its hosts to support their IMBeR-related activities.

IMBeR国际项目办公室 – 中国（IPO-China）隶属于华东师范大学，由华东师范大学和河口海岸学国家重点实验室联合主办。华东师范大学（ECNU）和河口海岸学国家重点实验室（SKLEC）通过项目办公室支持IMBeR，旨在通过开放、共赢的伙伴关系，发挥协同作用，将IMBeR的科学和社会价值传递给国际IMBeR社区及更广泛的群体。IPO-China还与主办单位紧密合作，支持主办单位开展的各类相关活动。
